Hi all..
I have a couple of questions regarding your MetFutures Mod..Please bare with me..I am a newbie and I don't mean 2 ask redundant questions..
1. Within your download for Met Articles, I received the following and in this specific format.
Within MetFuturesArticles 1.0 <--within this folder
readme.txt and modules folder <--within this folder
index.php and language folder <--within this folder
lang-english.php
Now..Within your readme file I have this.
4. Installation
The installation of this module is strait forward.
4.1 Copy directory structure into your current structure make sure the module folders line up.
4.2 Go to your admin page http://www.yourdomain.com/admin.php and click on modules
4.3 Find the "Met Future Articles" module on the list and click on the activate link next to it.
First off.. when copying the directory structure as is the way that it is,
the name of the folder does not show up and coming from my point of view I think it's because there is a space between the name and the version number
MetFutureArticles 1.0
I changed the name to this MetFutureArticles1.0 with no space between thewords and numbers at all.
Then when I did upload the folder, because the pages are all located within the modules folder, it wouldn't read the php.
I then just replaced all of the files within the modules folder to the original MetFuturesArticle1.0 and deleted the now empty modules folder..
I activated the mod and it looks great..
2. I am now wondering just how to add an article for a future release. I donot have anything for an administration area.
Could you explain to me how this would work? Do I have to manually add the files? Am I missing a file..All of the files that I have I wrote above.
3. If I upload the files the way that it looks like I should, is my mod then called modules? And if I do it this way, will the administartion area for the mod exist?
4. I don't know..I am a little confused. Can you please direct me as to what I did wrong?
This is what the page looks like when I click on the link:
Upcoming Articles
Check back often for new articles.
Title Topic Date Func
The are no upcoming articles. Check back soon.
NOTE: Our schedule is subject to change.
Provided by MetOpen- Open Source News, Reviews and Addons
But then there is no link to any sort of administration area to add a future article..Is there supposed to be one?
Thanx 4 your patience and time.
I really appreciate it..

Hi cheffette,
Welcome to PHPNuke. I will add more text to the instructions to answer your questions in the next version. In the meanwhile here's some answers:
When you install phpnuke modules you match up the modules folder and copy that over. ie just copy this module folder on your module forlder (nothing else will be overwritten). But it sounds like you figured it out.
To add an article dated in the future. go to the regular add story link in admin. At the bottom above the preview button you will see "Do you want to program this story?"- click "yes". then set the date and time you want to schedule this story for.
Once you have "programmed" stories- they will appear on the metfuture articles page.
I hope that helps. Feel free to ask more questions if you need clarification.
