Does anyone have suggestions on how I can stay on top of forum posts that I want to reply to. Here's some things i do but i'm looking for a better way:
1) view latest posts- http://www.metopen.com/fsearch-newposts.html This works well for me but I dont always have time to reply right away- the next time i look at messages this message wont show up.
2) bookmark- but then it doesn't pass across machines |

All I do is simply make one reply to each thread so I am automatically notified by email of replies.
If the notification contains a new post I want to reply to but do not have time at that precise moment, I just flag it in my email client to remind me to revisit it again.
Obviously this only works if you have already made a post in the thread and your default profile has reply notification turned on.
My signature usually has something like "Pushed for time right now but intend to reply soon to this" so entering the thread is simply a case of hitting reply with signature turned on. |

Guardian's suggestion is a good one, and I use it too. I also believe that Raven has a hack for the forums to always send the admin on new posts, which is handy for new Topics where you have not yet had a chance to look at and post to.

I was not aware of that hack from Raven, I'll go and take a look at that, it could be very useful!! |

Thanks.
Sounds like a good system and Raven's hack completes it. |

Thanks montego, I'm going to install the mod from the first link as this suits my purposes exactly.
I am going to asume as this mod creates a 'watch this FORUM link' that users of the mod would have to manually select this option for each forum they have - but this is easily and quickly done and worth the few clicks needed to ensure I dont miss ANY future posting on my own site.
Thanks for the links mate!! |

Raven's collasping forum block would work well for you, I think. Especially for the small amount of traffic you have right now. |
